This programme will help you come up with theoretical and applied underpinnings of solutions to modern and classical statistical problems. A PhD in statistics is more flexible and useful that PhDs in some other areas. Statistics is intrinsically an applied science, and one that is in big demand across lots of areas, because it can be applied to many areas, unlike most academic disciplines Â
A Research Masters degree in a related field. A supervisor from the School must be identified and approached prior to application.
