Master of Science (MSc) in Operations Research

The curriculum consists of a dissertation that incorporates a research proposal; and a manuscript, based on the candidate’s research, submitted for publication to a recognised accredited journal. Proof of the submission of the manuscript is a compulsory condition for the degree to be conferred.

An appropriate bachelor honours degree, or an appropriate postgraduate diploma, or a 480 credit bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 96 credits at NQF level 8

Student Funding

Top students have the opportunity to apply to the department as academic assistants while studying. The payment will cover a basic salary and tuition fees. The university’s Student Funding Directorate (DSF) administers donor funds, in the form of study loans and bursaries, according to donors’ criteria. The main aim is to assist financially needy and academically deserving students
