What Does an Equity Analyst Do & What Jobs Does This Career Path Include?
As a Equity Analyst, you could work for both the ‘buy-side’ (Asset Manager) and ‘sell-side’ (Stock Borkerage) firms in the listed securities industry. You will gather information about listed companies under coverage in order to build financial models and analyse investments. You’ll be likely to produce research reports, projections and recommendations about companies analysed in order to make appropriate investment decisions.
What Qualifications & Skills Are Required?
- Bachelor’s degree
- A post-graduate qualification will be an advantage
- Preferably CFA or related experience, or studying towards the designation
